Sleep & Women
The effects of sleep loss for women and the reasons
why they might lose sleep are covered in this
article. Studies have shown that women sleep more
than men on a usual basis because they go to sleep
earlier than men do. However, women usually sleep
lighter than men, meaning they are more easily woken
up by sounds and they also are more likely to wake
up not feeling refreshed. Another factor is that
working women have to balance friends, family, work,
and personal health which makes also makes stress a
large factor in their inability to get to sleep, and
when they are asleep, makes them feel as though it
were an inadequate amount of sleep.
