Humans from around the world believe dreams contain hidden truths

In this article, several studies were done to see what people thought of theories regarding their dreams and what amount of truth they believed they could contain. In one of the studies, 149 college students from around the world were asked about their interpretation. They answered overwhelmingly that they believed their dreams could unveil hidden truths about themselves or the world. In another study, 270 men and women from the United States were asked how much importance they would attribute to a pleasant dream about someone they liked opposed to someone they disliked, to which they answered that they would be more likely to place faith in a good dream about someone they liked and a bad dream about someone they did not like.
