Privacy Policy

The only information we will collect from you is your email address when you are checking out so we can send you the sounds that you purchased through our website. We will not sell, give or loan this information to any third party without your permission. We use PayPal when handling payment transactions because of their commitment to security. The information that they collect related to payment will not be stored, archived, or sold to any third party without your express permission. We also retain the right to send you a courtesy email to get feedback on your shopping experience and to let you apply for product updates from our store.

Security

Our site uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), which is a global standard security technology, to ensure your security while using our site. SSL is designed to establish encryption and identity assurance by creating an encrypted link between a web server and a web browser. This link ensures that all data passing between the web server and browser remains private and secure. The SSL technology ensures that your information is kept private through a combination of programs and encryption/decryption routines that already exist on the web server computer and in web browsers used by the internet using public.

SSL uses cryptography to protect your confidential information. Sensitive data is encrypted across public networks to achieve a high level of confidentiality. Primarily, it utilizes an asymmetric cryptography that is considered more secure than that symmetric cryptography. The reason for using an asymmetric algorithm rather than a symmetric one is that an asymmetric algorithm uses one key for the encryption of the data and another, different one for the decryption of data. In other words, even if the encryption code is learned in one direction, the third party still needs to the other key in order to decrypt the message in the opposite direction.

Our secure check out system is operated by PayPal. We use their service because of their lengthy history with security and longstanding commitment to excellence in that field. We will not, however, force you to make an account with PayPal to checkout. You can manually check out without giving any information to PayPal by selecting the Check out now button in your Shopping Cart. The transaction will be taken care of by PayPal’s servers, but no personal information will be given to them.

Free Graphics

The pictures, icons, graphics, Images and clip art located here are free for your personal use. If you decide to use one or more of our graphics, we would appreciate it if you placed a link to our homepage (SleepAidRecords.com) somewhere on your site.

If you are with a business who wants to use any graphics on our pages, you should contact us for permission. Any graphics taken from this site cannot be resold or used in commercial packages without the expressed permission of SleepAid Records.

Refunds and Returns

You may request a refund for any sound that has not been downloaded yet within 30 days of placing your order through our online store. Please make note of the fact that we will not refund any sound that has been downloaded unless we are able to verify that the files are corrupted from our servers of that the files are incompatible with your system and we are unable to provide a compatible version. The status of the downloads are determined automatically through our system and let us know whether the file has been downloaded or not. All refunds are ultimately at the discretion of our Customer Service representatives. We do not price match our downloads against other download sites. Additionally, we will not refund a price difference in the event of a sale of special pricing event.

Downloading a product from the link that SleepAid Records provides you after purchase is equivalent to opening the packaging of a regular CD. We will not refund the customer because of the likelihood that the sound has been kept on the hard drive or a separate compact disk. You will still be able to request a refund within 30 days of purchase.

Download Policy

You have 7 days from date of the first download to attempt the download again. You are able to attempt the download again a total of ten (10) times before the link is closed. From the first download, the days will begin counting from one (1) to seven (7) and the download attempts will begin counting from one (1) to ten (10). Once one of these counters reaches its respective end number (7 for days, 10 for download tries) the link will be shut off. If you contact our technical support staff, they may be able to reopen the link allowing you more time or tries to download your link.

Sales Tax

Some states in the United States of America require a Sales Tax in form of a Digital Download Tax to be paid for certain downloads. We have decided not to add that tax on top of your purchase price but rather pay that charge out of the list price.

So, if you live in one of those states where this tax is applicable you can regard it as already included in the list price.
